Class #9 - Streaming TV News; present ESL on YouTube

Good afternoon!

Today ...
1) Present ESL on YouTube.
3) Kevin will introduce some news apps for the Streaming TV News topic

Streaming TV News
1) The link on the Lifelong English website is here: Streaming TV News
2) Download a streaming TV news app (or watch English news on your PC).
3) Kevin's recommended streaming TV news apps are Reuters News and NHK World TV and BBC News. (But CNN and USA Today and some others may also be OK.)
4) You must listen more than once! Listen as many times as you can. You need to understand the experience well so you can write about it.
5) Write about how streaming TV news is good for your English. Give some examples of vocabulary you learned. Email your paragraphs to Kevin before June 23.
6) Keep a record of which new stations and which news segments you listened to in your Bibliography.  Examples:

BBC News (2018). “The lava river in a quiet neighbourhood”
